Bonhams will be holding their “Entertainment Memorabilia including Animation Art” (auction 20984) sale event in Los Angeles on May 5th. This sale includes a mix of film/television as well as music related memorabilia.

This sale includes 464 lots of memorabilia and an additional 105 lots specific to animation art. This sale includes film and television material such as photographs, stills, posters/one sheets, general “entertainment memorabilia”, original props and costumes, and music-related memorabilia. Also featured is a significant collection of Larry Hagman, Sammy Davis, Jr., Frank Sinatra, Milton Berle-related memorabilia.
Another lot offers a pair of tablets attributed to the film classic, The Ten Commandments (see Lot 3130). Unrelated to this, Profiles in History recently filed a lawsuit against a bidder in their own December 2012 auction for failing to pay for a different set of the same style of prop (see “Profiles in History Files Fraud Lawsuit Against Non-Paying Auction Bidder on “Ten Commandments” Movie Prop Tablets” for an archive of such props sold at auction and other details (auction house, price realized, date sold, etc.).
