This is part of my ongoing coverage of San Diego Comic-Con 2014.\u00a0 This is most definitely the most important Comic-Con appearance for Prop Store since their first exhibit back in 2008<\/a>.\u00a0 They have managed to get a sizable upgrade in space from The Powers That Be at Comic-Con for 2014, and they have put all of that additional square footage to brilliant use, with a more open design and really elegant work in displaying their rare props and costumes with beautiful lighting.\u00a0 With the added visibility, Prop Store is using the opportunity to get the word out about their first live auction even later this year, to be held in London in October<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"Comic-Con-International-2014-San-Diego-TV-Movie-Prop-Costume-Photos-High-Resolution-Original-Prop-Blog-News-Jump\"<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

While much of what was on display in their booth was connecting with the upcoming live auction, Prop Store had other news and related material to show off as well, with a Pacific Rim auction coming August 25th and an Ender’s Game sale to happened following that event.<\/p>\n

Every year both Prop Store and Profiles in History put a lot of effort and resources into creating a presence for collectors of this material, and reaching out to fandom at large to create awareness about these collectibles and this art market.\u00a0 But I would say far and away this is Prop Store’s best showing, and I would rate Profiles as most definitely their worst.<\/p>\n
