There has been a few Superman costume\/costume component auctions offered publicly in the marketplace via eBay since the last OPB updates in early April. This is one of the actual screen worn S Logo’s which was attached to Christopher Reeve’s screen worn Superman cape. Included with the emblem is an actual oversized section of the cape itself which was removed following filming. Unlike many Superman items that have surfaced in the past years this artifact has a hand signed letter from Anastasia Salkind, who is the daughter of the film’s producer. This is the first Superman item we have encountered with Salkind provinence and authenticity. An amazing item from an amazing film.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This Superman movie yellow cape “S” emblem is believed to be one of the original Christopher Reeve Superman principal emblems from our movie of the late 1970’s. It is one of the hero costume pieces and consists of yellow “S” emblem on original red cape fabric.<\/em><\/p>\n
