Hart of Sweat Equity Productions and Writer\/Director\/Producer of Bone Dry<\/em> (2007) has contacted me to let collectors know that he is offering the Chevy SUV – the main prop from his film starring Lance Henriksen and Luke Goss – for sale via auction on eBay Motors.\u00a0 The Chevrolet Suburban is a highly customized vehicle that is recognizable to films of the movie and seen on the one sheet poster of the independent film.<\/p>\n

Lance Henriksen\u2019s formidable off road vehicle from the Indie Thriller “Bone Dry” – Directed by Brett A. Hart. Specially designed by the producers to create an unforgettably menacing ONE OF A KIND all terrain vehicle used to hunt his prey throughout the desert.<\/em><\/p>\n

Lovingly named \u201cDUKE\u201d on set, the Co-writers Jeff O\u2019Brien and Brett A Hart wanted it to appear as if The Hunter, his family and vehicle had all died \u2026 and were reborn from hell.<\/em><\/p>\n

When having DUKE art directed, Hart asked for the vehicle to feel like a prison on wheels, hence the mesh in the back. The fan on the dash was a nod towards \u2018DUEL\u2019. Additional buttons inside DUKE gave it a \u2018Road Warrior\u2019 feel.<\/em><\/p>\n

The horns on the side of the vehicle were suggested by Lance Henriksen himself. They served a dual purpose of appearing more like a demonic vehicle and allowed for him to bind and torture \u2018Eddie\u2019 – Luke Goss, throughout the desert hunt that careens all the way to the shocking climatic conclusion.<\/em><\/p>\n

Now the fans of Lance Henriksen, Luke Goss and BONE DRY have the chance to own DUKE and an autographed Script & Rear View Mirror by Lance Himself.<\/em><\/p>\n

LOS ANGELES (September 15th, 2010) \u2013 In celebration of Lance Henriksen\u2019s 70th birthday this year, Director Brett A Hart www.brettahart.com is offering the fans an opportunity to own the picture vehicle for \u2018BONE DRY\u2019 www.bonedryfilm.com lovingly named on set as \u201cDUKE\u201d based on John Wayne\u2019s family nickname \u2018THE DUKE\u2019 \u2013 as he had a \u2018no nonsense\u2019 and \u2018take no prisoners\u2019 mentality.<\/em><\/p>\n

After extensive research on off road vehicles, the Producers of \u2018BONE DRY\u2019 chose a Suburban as Jimmy\u2019s menacing means of transportation. The theory was that it was a family vehicle, and when Jimmy\u2019s family is unceremoniously taken from him by Eddie, played by Luke Goss, he and the vehicle undergo a metamorphosis. The truck becomes an extension of his hallow self. Co-writers Jeff O\u2019Brien and Brett A Hart wanted it to appear as if Jimmy, the family and vehicle had all died \u2026 and were reborn from hell.<\/em><\/p>\n

Hart says: \u201cI chose grey with rust to be the polar opposite of another menacing vehicular film that inspired ours \u2013 \u2018DUEL\u2019. The grey also was a nod toward the first film that shocked me into filmmaking \u2018JAWS\u2019. In a way DUKE is homage to Bruce the Shark from \u2018JAWS\u2019, the menacing semi truck from \u2018DUEL\u2019.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
