Earlier this month, Morphy Auctions<\/a> listed a large collection of more than a dozen Superman-related principal costume and wardrobe pieces in their online catalog for their late February 2010 sale event.\u00a0 As was the case with an unrelated auction last year (see Philip Weiss Auctions Cancels \u201cSpecial Superhero Weekend\u201d<\/a>), it would appear that all items have been pulled from their upcoming sale.<\/p>\n

As of the time of the publishing this article, all items from the “COSTUMES” category of their upcoming sale on February 26th-27th are no longer listed in their online catalog, and a keyword search on “SUPERMAN” returns no results.\u00a0 Wardrobe lots that were listed at auction last week included pieces attributed to the Christopher Reeve Superman films, the George Reeves TV series, the Kirk Alyn movie serials, Superboy, Smallville, Lois & Clark, and Supergirl:<\/p>\n

Dan Morphy Auctions is proud to channel your inner superhero, as the February auction offers more than a dozen opportunities to dress the part. Approximately a dozen original costumes from classic TV shows and films will be up for bid, including four authentic Superman suits \u2013 a George Reeves black & white version, a Reeves regular blue version, a Kirk Alyn black & white, and a Christopher Reeve color costume.<\/em><\/p>\n
