From the Film Superman come this Screen Used Walking Cape! This cape was worn by Christopher Reeves in is portrayal of the Man of Steel. This Walking Cape was said to be used in both Superman 1 & 2 as they where filmed back to back. I know there are a lot of replica capes out there, but this is not one of them. This Cape came straight from the Salkind Private Collection and was bought straight from the family. The Cape shows some wear on it and has a Stain on the inside collar and Label.The Label Reads Bermans & Nathans: Christopher Reeves Cape Walking 10839 Superman. It is accompanied by a LOA from Anastasia Salkind on her personal letter head. This is a fine example of one of the most iconic Super Hero items in movie history!<\/p>\n

If one examines the Bermans & Nathans wardrobe tag attached to this costume, and compares with those seen in analysis in past features, one might come to the conclusion that many attributes prove problematic.<\/p>\n

Also of note is the number of Letters of Authenticity in the marketplace attributed to and bearing the signature of Anastasia Salkind, as is the case with this auction.<\/p>\n

I was contacted by Ms. Salkind and had a phone conversation with her several months ago, and her statement to me was that she only ever produced one (1) Letter of Authenticity.<\/p>\n

I would also note that a genuine LOA can be copied, or paired with pieces to which it was not originally assigned.<\/p>\n

In any event, based on the information provided by Ms. Salkind, if accurate (i.e. that only one genuine LOA was ever produced by her), one could then conclude that at least five of the six of the documents referenced\/depicted in archived auctions above are forgeries\/counterfeit.<\/p>\n
