“LOST” Images from Disney’s D23 Expo, Exhibit by Profiles in History Promoting May 2010 Auction
As reported back in June (see “D23 Expo” at Anaheim Convention Center in September 2009 to Feature “Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives”), Disney held a fan expo this past weekend. Included among the exhibits was one from Profiles in History which promoted the upcoming final season of LOST as well as their subsequent auction of original props, costumes, and other assets from the hit television series. Judge Sentences eBay Fraudster to Over One Year in Prison
U.S. District Judge Peter C. Dorsey today sentenced a Connecticut man, who plead guilty to committing fraud on eBay, to one year and one day in prison. He also ordered that he pay over a quarter of a million dollars in restitution, perform 150 hours of community service, and have three years of supervised release, following the completion of his prison term. Classic Car Auction Company Kruse International Rates “F” with Better Business Bureau Leading Into Labor Day Event
The News-Sentinel in Fort Wayne, Indiana reports that classic car auction company Kruse International has been the subject of numerous complaints with the Better Business Bureau by consignors who claim that the auction house has failed to make timely payments on sold goods. Disney To Acquire Marvel Entertainment In $4 Billion Deal; Future Impact on “Studio Reseller” Deals?
Disney announced today that it is in the process of buying Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion dollars in cash and stock. This acquisition will include ownership over Marvel’s thousands of characters as well as Marvel Studios, which is responsible for film franchises such as Iron Man, The Avengers, Thor, and Captain America.
