This is the first in a new series of videos that I will be publishing on YouTube, to supplement the ongoing content on the Original Prop Blog. I have in the past published the occasional video on YouTube, but I saw the platform more as a place to host videos rather than as a “channel” per se, so mixed among content intended for the Original Prop Blog were other videos that had nothing to do with the Original Prop Blog. So this is a brand new channel going forward, and my hope and intentions are to use the video format more regularly in order to produce some different content than what has been the norm. The fifth “Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction” annual sale event for Prop Store will be held at London’s BFI IMAX on September 20th, offering over 600 lots of entertainment memorabilia. Both the print and online catalogs are available, and Prop Store continues to assemble more and more impressive offerings, year after year. This is part of my ongoing coverage of San Diego Comic-Con 2018. Profiles in History has been exhibiting at Comic-Con for many, many years, and on exhibit were movie props for the most part, from an as yet to be announced live auction. The pieces ticked the boxes of many of their favorite franchises – Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Terminator, X-Men, Wizard of Oz, etc. [Read more…]
