San Diego Comic-Con 2015: Prop Store Exhibit of TV and Movie Props, Costumes, Models, Memorabilia (#SDCC)

This is part of my ongoing coverage of San Diego Comic-Con 2015.  Prop Store has an excellent exhibition this year, featuring a preview of material from their second annual live auction coming to London later this year.  Heavy on action and sci-fi, it drew a constant crowd of Comic Con attendees, many of which are fans of these genre films.  As with Star Wars Celebration earlier this year, Prop Store continue to find new and exciting Star Wars material, such as the stormtrooper helmet – the first time being offered to the public. StarWarsHelmets.com Video Review: Original ‘Return of the Jedi’ Biker Scout Helmet

Jez at StarWarsHelmets.com has published the latest in his series of excellent “photo and video reviews”, this one featuring an original biker scout helmet from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, owned by Stephen Lane of The Prop Store of London (formerly owned by Steve Sansweet), which includes the history and development of this prop.  These informative and entertaining videos are a fantastic resource for collectors and fans of the Star Wars franchise.

“Out of this World” Original Movie Prop Exhibit at The California Museum – High Definition Video

I had an opportunity last week to visit the touring “Out of this World: Extraordinary Costumes from Film and Television” exhibit, which opened at the California Museum on October 3rd.  As has been reported in the past, this traveling exhibition includes original props and costumes associated with Paul Allen (co-founder of Microsoft) and Science Fiction Museum in Seattle, Washington. Profiles in History “Hollywood Auction 37” High Resolution Photography
