Missing: Shirely Temple Gown from The Little Princess Lost by UPS (Sold in Kansas City?)

Per a story in the Kansas City Star (“‘Lost’ Shirley Temple dresses sold in KC under mysterious circumstances“) and on the “Official Shirley Temple” Facebook page, Tonya Bervaldi-Camaratta’s five movie worn Shirley Temple costumes were lost by UPS and then showed up in an auction in Kansas City.  Four were recovered by the owner, but one remains missing. $1 Million Dollar Reward for Dorothy’s Stolen Ruby Slippers from Wizard of Oz

It was 10 years ago this month that one of the surviving pairs of ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz were stolen from The Judy Garland Museum.  The mainstream media has reported that an anonymous benefactor has offered up a $1 million dollar reward for information leading to the recovery of maybe the most iconic piece of Hollywood memorabilia ever created, though Newsweek questions whether this person or persons exist after the cancellation of an interview. Vincent Vega’s Stolen 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Movie Prop Car Used in Tarantino’s ‘Pulp Fiction’ Found & Recovered

The cherry red 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu used by John Travolta’s character in Quentin Tarantino’s film, Pulp Fiction, was reported stolen back in 1994 during the production of the Academy Award-winning movie.  Featured in many scenes in the film, Vince Vega’s car was recently found, per a report by The Sun. Movie Prop Thief Caught On Tape UPDATE – Stolen John Wayne & William Holden Movie Prop Guns Returned, Reward For Thief Still At Large

KATU.com today reports that the movie prop guns that were on display at Movie Madness (a Winchester rifle used by John Wayne in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962) and a shotgun used by William Holden in The Wild Bunch (1969)) and stolen last Summer were returned to the store by a third party this past weekend.  In July 2012, the Hollywood memorabilia was stolen from the store and captured on video in the Portland, Oregon store.  Law enforcement are still asking for the public’s help finding Erick Duanne Johnson, 47, based on the evidence in the video tape recording of the theft, and Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to Johnson’s arrest. Movie Prop Thief Caught On Tape UPDATE – Police Seek Help Finding Erick Duane Johnson

Law enforcement is seeking help finding a suspect in Portland, Oregon who they believe stole movie prop guns that were on display at Movie Madness (a Winchester rifle used by John Wayne in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962) and a shotgun used by William Holden in The Wild Bunch (1969)).  As reported last week, the theft was captured on video tape.  Based on tips from the public, the police detectives are asking for the public’s help finding Erick Duanne Johnson, 47. George R.R. Martin Reports Autographed “Game Of Thrones” Screenplays Donated for Charity Auction Stolen

Critically acclaimed science fiction, fantasy, and horror writer, George Raymond Richard Martin, has reported on his website that he believed two original and autographed screenplays from the HBO series, Game of Thrones, were stolen in transit.  As the author of the “A Song of Ice and Fire” series of fantasy novels, upon which the Game of Thrones series were based, the production had sent the two shooting scripts (signed by writers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss and director Alan Taylor) to Mr. Martin to use to auction and raise money for charitable causes.  When he received the parcel from the U.S. Postal Service, included was a pre-printed form letter apologizing for damage to the package and both scripts were missing. £200 Reward for Return of Stolen Duck Movie Prop from Peter Mullan’s “Neds”
