The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) issued their Annual Report a few months ago. Among the highlights is that auction fraud – a frequent topic in the hobby of collecting original television and movie props and wardrobe – was reported to make up one of four complaints made to the organization. In addition to next month’s special event, the Michael H Epstein & Scott E Schwimer Glamour Photography Auction, and the LOST auction this summer, Profiles in History will have two of their traditional entertainment memorabilia auctions, one scheduled for May 2010 and one towards the end of the year.  The auction house has today released information about a few of the highlights that will be a part of the May auction event. Russell Crowe’s “Museum of Interesting Things” in Australia (Photos & Video of Movie Prop Exhibition)

Late last year, the “Museum of Interesting Things” opened at the Nymboida Coaching Station Inn in Australia. Russell Crowe has donated original movie props and costumes from many of his films for display at the museum.  Aaron of HeroProp.com was kind enough to provide photos and videos from his recent visit to share with readers of the Original Prop Blog. Profiles in History’s Hollywood Auction 37 was held Thursday and Friday, which offered a number of original television and movie props, costumes, and other memorabilia.  The auction was held on site at the Profiles in History offices in Calabasas Hills, with off-site bidding available over the Internet via iCollector, as well as direct via mail, fax, and by phone.
