The online catalog for the Premiere Props “Hollywood Auction Extravaganza VII”, scheduled for September 15-16, is now listed via online bidding partners iCollector and LiveAuctioneers. Since much of The Dreier Collection that is being sold at auction through Profiles in History (beginning with their Part 1 sale having concluded today) was originally purchased at auction through Profiles in History, I thought that it would be interesting to compare some of the lots with their original hammer price (sans Buyer’s Premium) against the new sale price from the new auction. Profiles in History has long held exhibitor space at Comic Con in San Diego as a way to build awareness of their brand and promote their regularly scheduled auctions. 2012 is Prop Store’s fifth year exhibiting at Comic Con in San Diego, and they continue to improve on their visually pleasing presentation and wide ranging original props and costumes on display. This year, the centerpiece holding the front corner spot is John Hurt’s spacesuit from Ridley Scott’s Alien (1979).
