There is about one day left of bidding on the amazing, one-of-a-kind custom and “reimagined” Star Wars Boba Fett and Episode II Clone Trooper helmets made by some of the most talented artisans in the industry. The proceeds from the sale of these special helmets will benefit Make-A-Wish, and as of the time of this writing, the bids already exceed over $100,000. The online catalog for the Premiere Props “Hollywood Auction Extravaganza VII”, scheduled for September 15-16, is now listed via online bidding partners iCollector and LiveAuctioneers. Law enforcement is seeking help finding a suspect in Portland, Oregon who they believe stole movie prop guns that were on display at Movie Madness (a Winchester rifle used by John Wayne in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962) and a shotgun used by William Holden in The Wild Bunch (1969)). As reported last week, the theft was captured on video tape. Based on tips from the public, the police detectives are asking for the public’s help finding Erick Duanne Johnson, 47. [Read more…]
I came across a post on NitrateVille.com asking about The Harry Crocker Museum – described as “The First Museum Dedicated To Famous Movie Props” – and I’d never heard of it. Other than an issue of Photoplay dated December 1928, I could have no record of its very existence.
