ScreenUsed, an online dealer who built some of their initial inventory back in the day on incredible material from the Back To The Future film franchise, will be holding two auctions this month in conjunction with the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the first movie.  In partnership with BackToTheFuture.com and WereGoingBack.com, they will have a live auction in Los Angeles on October 24th and an online-only auction concluding a week later on October 31st.  The live auction will take place at the Hollywood United Methodist Church gym, the filming location of the famous “Enchantment Under The Sea” dance in the original film. Profiles in History have announced a special “Shoemania” charity auction which will benefit The Arts of Central Florida.  Presented in conjunction with Planet Hollywood and DSW Shoe Warehouse, the auction will include autographed shoes donated by a variety of celebrities.  The auction is slated to be held at the Designer Shoe Warehouse at The Milllenia Center in Orlando Florida on November 9th. 1,500 Replica ‘Back to the Future II’ Nike Mag Shoes Auctioned to Benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research

While the shoes in question are newly designed and manufactured replicas of the famous “futuristic” Nike shoes worn by Marty McFly in Back to the Future II, I thought it was worth mention here as 100% of the proceeds will benefit The Michale J. San Diego Comic Con 2011: Profiles in History Showcase ‘Back to the Future III’ DeLorean Restored by Brian & Desi DosSantos (ScreenUsed)

Profiles in History, which has a track record of bringing impressive (usually themed) exhibits to Comic Con (Stan Winston Studios, LOST, etc.), this year has a Back to the Future display, which is centered around an original DeLorean from the third film in the franchise, which will be offered for sale in one of their future auctions. The auction house is taking $20 donations for photo opportunities with the famous movie car, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Team Fox, Michael J. ScreenUsed Announces Acquisition and Restoration of Original Movie Prop DeLorean from ‘Back to the Future’
