Brian Muir, special guest. This is the eleventh ‘Prop Talk’ podcast by the Original Prop Blog.  Mr. Brian Muir is a veteran in the film industry, working as a sculptor on an incredible number of movies, including Star Wars: A New Hope, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Alien, numerous James Bond films, Harry Potter films, and more.  Notably, Mr. Muir is credited as the sculptor of the iconic helmet for Darth Vader early in his career.

Christie’s Entertainment Memorabilia Auction November 25th In London, Catalog Available Online

1965 Aston Martin DB5 “The James Bond Car” Used in Goldfinger and Thunderball Sells for $4.6 Million Dollars

As reported back in June, RM Auctions (in association with Sotheby’s) offered at auction “The James Bond Car” – a 1965 Aston Martin featured in the James Bond films Goldfinger and Thunderball, starring Sean Connery. As part of their “Automobiles of London” sale event, the auction took place today and the car sold for a staggering $4.6 million dollars. [Read more…]

NRA National Firearms Museum “Hollywood Guns” TV and Movie Prop Catalog Supplements Exhibit

As mentioned in past articles, the NRA’s National Firearms Museum in Fairfax, Virginia has been hosting a “Hollywood Guns” exhibit this year, and now a 46-page catalog of the pieces on display has been made available.  Many of these pieces have been featured on their “Curator’s Corner” video series.
