The Heritage Auction Galleries website now offers the online catalog and listings for their upcoming event, “Signature Music & Entertainment Memorabilia Auction – Auction #7006”, to be held June 5-6, 2009 in Dallas, Texas.

Profiles in History’s Hollywood Auction 35 (“Historic Hollywood Wax Museum Auction”) and Hollywood Auction 36 (“The Forrest J Ackerman Estate”) were held Thursday and Friday, which offered a number of original movie and television props, costumes, and other memorabilia as well as the special Wax Museum catalog. The auction was held on site at the Profiles in History offices in Calabasas Hills, with off-site bidding available over the Internet via LiveAuctioneers, as well as direct via mail, fax, and by phone. One of the lead investigations conducted last year involved “original” memorabilia offered for sale with certificates of authenticity from “Global Antiques”, signed by Greg Jones. Pieces were sold on eBay via “Auction Depot LA” and “Auction Shop USA”. These accounts were suspended by eBay, and one of the collectors who purchased a number of items from these companies/individuals filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court. [Read more…]
