Per a story in the Kansas City Star (“‘Lost’ Shirley Temple dresses sold in KC under mysterious circumstances“) and on the “Official Shirley Temple” Facebook page, Tonya Bervaldi-Camaratta’s five movie worn Shirley Temple costumes were lost by UPS and then showed up in an auction in Kansas City. This week I received the amazing print catalog for Prop Store’s fourth annual Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction, and the catalog is also now available online as well. It will be held at the London ODEON BFI IMAX on September 26th. The live event features more than 600 lots of props, costumes and other film and television memorabilia. There will be a free three week public exhibition at The BFI IMAX Waterloo from September 7th – 26th.
Sotheby’s have put up an amazing collection of items related to one of the most popular actresses in classic Hollywood cinema, Vivien Leigh. The September 26th auction event in London for “The Vivien Leigh Collection” will also feature a public exhibition leading up to the event.
