2011 marks Prop Store’s third year as an exhibitor at Comic Con in San Diego, and as has been the case in the past, they have brought an assortment of props and costumes from an assortment of film and television programs. As part of their t-shirt promotion this year, they have billed their experience “Comic Khan”, which is emblazoned across the shirts and the Khan costume from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan is in the coveted display case spot at the corner of their exhibit. The Experience Music Project has organized an exhibition called “AVATR: The Exhibition”, which will be held at the Science Fiction Museum in Seattle from June 4th through September 3rd. Per the official site, this was created with Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products and James Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment, and “will feature authentic props and costumes, interactive displays, concept models, and sketches from the blockbuster film”. Following this weekend’s “Hollywood Legends” entertainment memorabilia sale, Julien’s Auctions today announced their next event, “The Collection of Larry Hagman”, to be held in Beverly Hills on Saturday, June 4th. Larry Hagman is best known for his portrayal of J.R. Ewing on the classic late 70s/80s prime time series, Dallas and as Major Tony Nelson in the 60s sitcom I Dream of Jeannie. [Read more…]
