Dexter Morgan’s “Slice of Life” Screen-Used TV Prop Boat from Showtime’s “Dexter” Coming To Auction on eBay

The most recognizable prop from Dexter, Showtime’s hit cable television series that is coming to an end with the current Season 8, is Dexter Morgan’s boat, “Slice of Life”.  The original, fully-functional boat used throughout all eight seasons of the series by Michael C. Gilt Groupe Offers Sale of Authentic Memorabilia from Ang Lee’s ‘Life of Pi’; Proceeds Benefit the Orangutan Foundation International

The Gilt Group has again opened a unique sale of original props for charity, this time offering material from Ang Lee’s Life of Pi, which opens in theaters in the United States tomorrow.  Per the website retailer, “Lee is donating the proceeds from the props to Orangutan Foundation International (orangutan.org), after having an inspiring experience when he visited the facility while doing research for the movie”.  Of the pieces offered is the lifeboat which represents an important part of the film. The National Motor Museum in the United Kingdom will be featuring a year long exhibition of the world’s largest collection of vehicles used in James Bond films, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Bond franchise, 40th anniversary of the National Motor Museum, and 60th anniversary of Beaulieu.  On display will be 50 vehicles used by Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig in their respective James Bond films.
