Late last year, the “Museum of Interesting Things” opened at the Nymboida Coaching Station Inn in Australia. Russell Crowe has donated original movie props and costumes from many of his films for display at the museum. The 7 foot model of the Nostromo ship featured in Ridley Scott’s sci-fi classic, Alien, has been the focus of a restoration project by The Prop Store of London. Suffering decades of damage from poor conditions of improper outdoor storage, the piece has required extensive cosmetic restoration as part of its ongoing preservation.

Earlier this month, Morphy Auctions listed a large collection of more than a dozen Superman-related principal costume and wardrobe pieces in their online catalog for their late February 2010 sale event. As was the case with an unrelated auction last year (see Philip Weiss Auctions Cancels “Special Superhero Weekend”), it would appear that all items have been pulled from their upcoming sale.
