Julien’s Auctions next auction will be held in Macau, China on October 9th, 2010.  The catalog is available for purchase and can now be viewed online.  Included in the sale are props and costumes from a variety of modern and classic film and television, as well as a substantial about of material associated with Michael Jackson.   The sale features props, wardrobe, photos, posters, autographs, animation art, scripts, personally owned items, and a variety of other material. Bonhams “Pioneers of Popular Culture” Auction Event Offers Two Important Costumes from ‘Batman’ & ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’

Bonhams will be holding their “Pioneers of Popular Culture” event (Sale 18524) on August 15th at the inaugural Goodwood Vintage Festival in the UK.   Though original props and costumes are nearly non-existent among the 273 lots in the auction, the two key pieces present are important and impressive: a three-piece suit worn by Jack Nicholson in Tim Burton’s Batman (Lot 192) and an ape costume from Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey (Lot 193).

San Diego Comic Con 2010: Event Recap, Impressions, Experiences

The Golden Closet Offers Original Blank Fire & Non-Firing Pistols Used by Angelina Jolie in “Salt”

The Golden Closet has yesterday announced the sale of original prop blank fire and non-firing weapons used in Salt, starring Angelina Jolie as Evelyn Salt.  In addition to Certificate of Authenticity from The Golden Closet are copies of the original rental agreements from the armorer who worked on the production and call sheets from related scenes.
