I had an opportunity last week to visit the touring “Out of this World: Extraordinary Costumes from Film and Television” exhibit, which opened at the California Museum on October 3rd. As has been reported in the past, this traveling exhibition includes original props and costumes associated with Paul Allen (co-founder of Microsoft) and Science Fiction Museum in Seattle, Washington.

The Heritage Auction Galleries website now offers the online catalog and listings for their upcoming event, “Signature Music & Entertainment Memorabilia Auction – Auction #7011”, to be held November 6-7, 2009 in Dallas, Texas.
As has been widely publicized, “Star Wars in Concert” is currently touring the United States, and I was fortunate to have attended one of the shows in California. Profiles in History’s Hollywood Auction 37 was held Thursday and Friday, which offered a number of original television and movie props, costumes, and other memorabilia. The auction was held on site at the Profiles in History offices in Calabasas Hills, with off-site bidding available over the Internet via iCollector, as well as direct via mail, fax, and by phone.
