Profiles in History, SyFy’s Hollywood Treasure Seek Original Back to the Future Props to Support “We’re Going Back” Event

One of the organizers of the “We’re Going Back” 25th Anniversary Back to the Future event, to be held at Universal Studios and other locations November 5th-11th, has contacted me asking to publish a notice for a request for original production material from the classic trilogy.  Profiles in History will be holding a special charity auction sale, which will be part of their new SyFy TV series, Hollywood Treasures, scheduled to debut November 4th. London Film Museum Features New “Myths and Legends” Exhibition, 90th Birthday Celebration with Ray Harryhausen and Friends

The London Film Museum (formerly the Movieum) hosted a special 90th birthday celebration for Ray Harryhausen last week, with guests including Peter Jackson, Rick Baker, John Landis, Terry Gilliam, and Mr. Harryhausen himself.   This occasion also marked the opening of a special exhibition about the life’s work of Mr. Harryhausen – “Myths and Legends” includes the display of original “Dynamation” creatures from the Ray and Diana Harryhausen Foundation. Oklahoma City Museum of Art ‘Sketch to Screen: Art of Hollywood Costume Design’ Exhibit Opens Thursday

As noted over the past few days from links to external stories via the official Twitter account for the Original Prop Blog, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art will be holding their ‘Sketch to Screen: Art of Hollywood Costume Design’ exhibit from May 6 through August 15, 2010.  The attraction will feature 85 wardrobe pieces and accessories used in classic and contemporary films, with a focus on the costume designers who made them. Julien’s Auctions Announces More Details on Star Trek Auction Event, Now Includes Memorabilia from Gene Roddenberry Estate

Julien’s Auctions today announced details about their upcoming Star Trek auction event this summer, which includes property from the estate of Gene Roddenberry, creator of Star Trek.  The auction will be held on June 27th at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, in conjunction with their Music Icons and Hollywood Legends events, all of which run June 24th-27th.
