Studio Reseller Hollywood Vault (“Rainmakers”): Current & Future Status?

One of the two studio resellers of original movie and television props and wardrobe that have historically sold very high quantities of product appears to have had very limited sales in recent months and one of its two websites (rain-makers.net) is returning a “404” error status while the other (hollywoodvault.net) is stripped down to “coming soon” presentation.  [Read more…]

Cameron’s House from “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” For Sale at $2.3 Million Dollars

Bonhams & Goodman in Australia Sell Incomplete Superman Costume for $21,000 at Auction

Bonhams & Goodman of Australia held a toy and memorabilia auction on Sunday which included a partial Superman costume attributed to the films of the 70s and 80s starring Christopher Reeve.  This set realized a hammer price of $22,500 Australia Dollars, or about $27,000 including Buyer’s Premium (or about $17,500/$21,000 USD). “Costume Junkie” Returns “Super Hollywood” Superman Costume To Marketplace on eBay

Following legal battles in both the United States and the United Kingdom over the sale unlicensed Stormtrooper helmets – which resulted in both Andrew Ainsworth’s Shepperton Design Studios and George Lucas’ Lucasfilm Ltd. claiming victory – Ainsworth’s SDS today announced the sale of “E11 Blasters”, that boast “all the features of the most complicated blaster used in ANH“.
