As mentioned last week on the Original Prop Community discussion forum, next month’s “Hollywood Auction 35” held by Profiles in History will include, in addition to memorabilia from the Forry Ackerman Estate, original props and costumes from the latest Friday the 13th film direct from Platinum Dunes Productions.
Brian Chanes says that Profiles in History has “all the hero props, weapons and wardrobe from the film and everything comes with a COA from Platinum Dunes Productions”. Chanes continues noting that Profiles in History is “the authorized seller for Platinum Dunes and these are the only pieces from the film that will ever be sold”.
Profiles will have 25 lots offered at auction. The hero Jason costume includes the mask (with custom on-set transport case). Chanes describes it as “a beautifully crafted and detailed mask created from fiberglass – unlike some of the cheap, thin vacu-formed examples from many of the earlier films”. The machete is a separate lot, as are all the other weapons.
