Charity Auction: Auction Cause Offers Original Props from “Survivor One World” on eBay

As per tradition, as Survivor: One World finished its season on CBS last night, Auction Cause launched an auction on eBay for original assets from the popular reality television series. With this round of auctions, also included is material from past seasons, under the banner of “Vintage Survivor“. As is the case with each season, 100% of the final sale price for the items will benefit charity, with this sale benefiting two organizations - Survivor Stand Up To Cancer and The Alliance for Children’s Rights.

Heritage Auction Galleries is holding a special charity auction, which benefits the St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters. The “Doodle for Hunger” is an online-only auction of simply illustrations made by a variety of celebrities, including principals from film, television, professional sports, members of the media, journalists, political figures, scientists, chefs, talk show hosts, authors, musicians, comedians, and other famous people. Arizona’s Little Hollywood Museum Foundation in Sedona Seeks Support and Holds Fundraising Event & Exhibit

Tomorrow, March 30th, a fundraising event will be held for “Arizona’s Little Hollywood Foundation”, a 501(c)(3), which was started by Joe McNeill, with the hope of creating a museum in Sedona, AZ that would put his 4,000 artifact collection on public display. This event will include an exhibition of artifacts at Talk of the Town in Uptown Sedona. Read more
Author Chuck Palahnuik’s Faux Ikea “Ying Yang” Movie Prop Table from Fight Club Donated for Charity Auction Supporting The Pixie Project

Charles “Chuck” Palahniuk, journalist and Fight Club novelist, has donated one of the original “ying yang” table set pieces that was used and featured in David Fincher’s film version of his award-winning book. The auction for the table started on eBay today, with proceeds benefiting The Pixie Project, a non-profit organization in Portland, Oregon that provides animal adoption and other related services. My good friend Simon Lee of the UK (interviewed by the Original Prop Blog a few years ago) late last year began collecting original movie prop costume donations from fellow community members to help two of his friends raise money for very worthy causes. Gilt Groupe Offers Sale of Authentic Memorabilia from ‘Midnight in Paris’, Net Proceeds Benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation

This morning the Gilt Group has opened its sale of original props from the Woody Allen film ‘Midnight in Paris’ on it’s website. Profiles in History have announced a special “Shoemania” charity auction which will benefit The Arts of Central Florida. Presented in conjunction with Planet Hollywood and DSW Shoe Warehouse, the auction will include autographed shoes donated by a variety of celebrities. While the shoes in question are newly designed and manufactured replicas of the famous “futuristic” Nike shoes worn by Marty McFly in Back to the Future II, I thought it was worth mention here as 100% of the proceeds will benefit The Michale J.
