During my recent visit to the Los Angeles area, I had an opportunity to meet with Breanna Livie of The Golden Closet at her family’s business, the famous Eastern Costume. In addition to filming interviews, which will be published over the coming week, I also took some still photos of the facility to give readers a glimpse into the renowned costume rental house.
Below are some photos which will include more context and explanation in the coming video interview series (click each image for higher resolution):
The studio area where The Golden Closet staff take photos of material for their website
The ‘Star Fitting Room’ for fittings and to determine alterations, etc.
An assortment of prop weapons from various film and television productions
Marilyn Monroe’s screenworn slip from “Niagra” (1953)
Wardrobe worn by Ian McShane as Al Swearengen in HBO’s series, ‘Deadwood’
A hat worn by Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown in ‘Back to the Future III’
