Restoring The American Werewolf in London (Tom Spina Designs)

September 2, 2008 by

Tom Spina of Tom Spina Designs has recently completed the restoration of the original werewolf from “American Werewolf in London“, a piece for which Rick Baker received his first Academy Award.  He did an amazing job, as it was in pretty terrible shape.  This piece is in the collection of Bob Burns.

Below are some “Before” and “After” photos:

As always, it is great to see Tom have an opportunity to use his skills and artistry to “save” a prop, and obviously, this is a very important piece that needs to be well-cared for and preserved.
