U.S. PayPal Policy Update: More PayPal-eBay Integration

Given the number of recent eBay-PayPal policy developments, I’ve created a new sub-category under “Events & News” for “PayPal & eBay Policy” topics.

Today, I received notice from PayPal of upcoming policy changes. Of interest are the changes to the PayPal User Agreement:

Of interest and related to recent trends is item “a” above, which will be effective July 9, 2008.

Text:

Section 4.3 is amended so that eBay sellers must accept international PayPal transactions if the eBay listing offers shipping outside the US.

This is consistent with other news reported recently (see ““PayPal Only” eBay Developments In The News“, “More eBay Policy Developments Regarding PayPal“, “Google “Check-Out” Proxy War With eBay’s “PayPal-only” Policy?“), with further eBay-PayPal integration, mandates, and requirements.

There were also a few changes to the PayPal User Agreement this past March that relate to eBay:
