eBay’s puttieface & Entertainment Movie Props
December 8, 2007 by Jason DeBord
For years, I have received countless unsolicited e-mail messages, private messages on other websites, reader comments on this forum, etc., from an individual/individuals connected to the website EntertainmentMovieProps.com and/or eBay’s puttieface.
A variety of names, usernames, and e-mail addresses have been used, but many are easily connected to one another by IP address, writing style (all caps, all lowercase, non standard word fragments, unusual punctuation, etc.), unique word usage (“cheers”, “mate”, “int”, etc.), and content (consistent comments about specific props, experiences, etc.).
I’ve never transacted with either prop dealer, and have generally completed ignored him/them, but given my experiences, hopefully making note of it here in summary will be informative to other hobbyists.
There are several discussions related to this person(s) on the Movie Prop Forum:
EMP/Puttieface/plumfred/muntstripe Banned
puttieface / entertainmentmovieprops (beware!), aka MARIO SARICCA
The first messages I received from this person(s) were through eBay’s messaging system, as “puttieface”, in regards to original props I had listed for sale on eBay. These were poorly written messages offering very low amounts for the items, with attempts to encourage “off eBay” deals, which is apparently consistent with the experiences other collectors have reported.
Some time ago, this person was banned from the Movie Prop Forum, as outlined and explained in the link above.
Since, I have received generally harassing unsolicited messages in a variety of forms.

A puttieface – Entertainment Movie Props Connection?
So why do I ask if there is a connection between puttieface and Entertainment Movie Props?
One, puttieface registered for the Movie Prop Forum using the puttieface e-mail address on file with eBay and spammed the forum with Entertainment Movie Prop-related advertisements.
Here is an example of a topic posted on the Movie Prop Forum.
Example:
Title: site
Subtitle: very fu for collectorshi fellow move buffs and collectors! check this website out www.entertainmentmovieprops.com finally a vendor who gives back to the seller . i love the collectors club ! i get pionts just for buying items i would anyway! just good movie bits and good people to help this fun hobby! just tired of the vendors who sell you as 5k item and act like they did u a favor . cheers guys
Two, most to all of the puttieface eBay auctions reference Entertainment Movie Prop Certificates of Authenticity in the marketing description.
Example:
ITEM COMES WITH A LIFETIME COA FROM WWW.ENTERTAINMENTMOVIEPROPS.COM WITH 24HR CUSTOMER SUPPORT THE 1ST IN COA HISTORY!
Also, eBay feedback left by puttieface for some buyers include references to Entertainment Movie Props.
Example:
BEST OF THE WEB WWW.ENTERTAINMENTMOVIEPROPS.COM thanks you
Three, I have been contacted numerous times by “Paul”, from the entertainmentmovieprops.com domain, who claims puttieface is a different person, though even those explanations are not consistent. The first explanation by “Paul” is as follows:
mario is a vendor who buys items from me and resells them under that user name.
In order to test a theory that “Mario” AKA puttieface and “Paul” from Entertainment Movie Props might even be the same person, in reply to an e-mail from “Paul” (sales@entertainmentmovieprops.com), I replied to the message, only I changed the recipient to entertainmentmovieprops@msn.com (one of “Mario’s” e-mail addresses) rather than the sales@entertainmentmovieprops.com address from which I received the original message…
Message from “Paul”:

Reader Comments on the Original Prop Blog
“Paul” and a number of other unidentified registrants connected to puttieface and Entertainment Movie Props have made a number of Reader Comments on the Original Prop Blog.
Because this person(s) is/are not dealing in good faith, I will copy the majority of these comments here and delete them from the articles themselves. Should “Paul”, “Mario”, etc., wish to comment further on the OPB, he/they can post to this article only, so long as it is free of profanity and threats.
# PAUL Says:
July 29th, 2007 at 9:12 pm eHI mate, paul from emp funny you should bring this up i had a very big problem with a bid as well. i won a prop from them as im still in this process so i dont wish to state what the prop in question is till the dispute is over. but i won as a live floor bid, i had took part on the entire auction as i had wanted this piece for along time. i also paid the second the item had ended. when the piece came it was not as i had seen in the picture. i did also speak to the same players with pp and the response was very very hostel! pp from what i gather has gone threw many changes as far as customer service in the past years or so. the prior if you can even fathom was alot more hostel when trying to solve problems caused by pp errors. i had tried in the past to try and reach a ceo or anyone with a true stake in the company with zero avail. it really sad to say the pp hires these service people who i think are way out of their element as far as people skills on the most basic human level. hats off to you for making this site a great read for collectors the world over. and cheers for the live fire props! some true deals i must say im a bit fond of the (ponr)custom it really is stunning. on a side note mate i went with the ikea case for my new office very nice thanks and sent an order on those pistol stands very cheap and well worth it for displays. i will update the prop story as soon as it is finished i hope i can get for what we paid and not a stand in piece. thanks your friend paul
Note that he refers to Entertainment Movie Props as “emp”, as this has bearing on a subsequent observation.
August 4, 2007, a person with the same IP address was posting messages on the Die Hard Props guest book like this one:
[expletive] you: this site [expletive] u [expletive] jason two [expletive] boys [expletive] you!
November 5, 2007, yet another account was created – “movieprops”/”movie webster” posts seven Reader Comments to the OPB. The IP address matches the previous reader comments from the “Paul” account:

its a bit nicer but nothing to cheer about. company was put on the map by jim latta ex icons founder many of the items sold to paul allen (spinner car, pulse rifle) etc etc came from the amazing collection jim sold when the company got sunk . the company was actually being groomed for the stock market wow what could have been. now all we have left is mr ! boo hooNew comment on your post #973 “YourProps.com Hosts 10,000th Item”

site is fun for all just wish it would stop from being used for sale adds for prop companies. just my opinion that its lke a spam machine on tilt. cheersNew comment on your post #829 “Dealer Review: Premiere Props, Hollywood Roadshow”
Author : movie webster
Comment:
you have some points as of course by your outcome you have some bias . back when they first came out during the mummy the customer service was much much worse! my past few high end purchases have gone smooth and have actually found the new manager very nice and overly helpful. but lets look at this in a whole without pp, hv,su,emp, etc etc that have come on the scene in the last 5 years the comsumer had very very few choices and if you lived in the states london was not always fun to ship large items. it has also help prices come down for comsumers. cheers
Note, as referenced above from a comment from “Paul”, that this supposed other reader makes reference to “emp” as well, in the company of actually well known dealers (Premiere Props, Hollywood Vault, and ScreenUsed). I’m not aware of any other collector equating the status of Entertainment Movie Props with those other, well known dealers.
New comment on your post #911 “Original Prop Marketplace Oversight”
Author : movie webster

the ultimate prop coa is in thought great but not reality . for so many reason companies would have to give buyers a novel instead of a coa. and that just is not ever going to happen as so many items come from people who wish to stay silent in the process. but the red sox did win the world series twice guess anything is possible. cheersNew comment on your post #904 “Elstree Props Return of the Jedi Lightsaber Auction – Update 2″
Author : movie webster
Comment:
i do think the saber in the auction is very very nice. i think its fair to explain who paul is in the prop world. before others make judgements on what is on the page. paul and his brother were the first in the uk to house props for studios. i dont think anyone can question pauls integrity others in london got into the field after pauls brother past away. really an amazing story of two kids going into dumpsters on the lot and saving priceless props from the greatest films ever made star wars when others didnt even know what one was. childhood dreams that still go on in all of us thanks paul you really are the best. cheers

hello again jason i also wanted to follow up on the comment i left on the paul for the light saber from elstree. i i did state paul and nick dug up these amazing items . you may not know this nor your many readers that nick was and still is the only!!!! private collector ever to be licensed by lucas film ltd to store the items from star wars . this is equal to being the first person to win a gold medal if there was such a thing in prop collecting. this will never happen again. these credits cannot be argued by anyone or any company . just glad to be able to help and clear up some things about the legend nick and his brother paul. nick passed in 1999 a true hero cheers

well hello again i know that others would want me to give a bit more on the collection jim latta broke up. along with many many items being sold to paul allen who if you dont know he started microsoft with mr bill gates. he paid 60k for the spinner that was 100 pc restored . this took days and weeks and was valued for much more. but as we know not many have deep pockets like mr allen, but i have seen other items from the “collection” surface in the “private collection’l of screen used i always get a kick out of that. the harrison ford pistol from blade runner , vader helmet etc etc . all from the amazing items jim latta had in his collection, it did include the lis craft!!!

I feel for this fellow but even more so that the sword he lost was not an original that is a fact no kb sword has ever been sold on ebay that has been authentic. i have only seen one original sell since the films wrapped. and i do not think you will see another anytime soon. cheers
Note: The following is the description of a Kill Bill sword marketed on the Entertainment Movie Props website:
THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC FILM PROPS/SWORDS EVER MADE UMA THURMAN’S (THE BRIDE) HERO SWORD. THIS ONE OF A KIND DISPLAY PIECE WAS USED IN BOTH VOL 1-2. THE SWORD CAME DIRECT FROM A CAST MEMBER WHO WORKED ON THE PRODUCTION. THIS SWORD WAS USED IN MANY OF THE FILMS CLOSE UP SHOTS WHEN THE STUNTS COULD NOT BE USED. IT STILL HAS ITS ORIGINAL SET TAG. THE SWORD BLADE IS VERY SHARP AS IT WAS NEVER USED IN BLADE TO BLADE CONTACT. FOR COPY REASONS WE WILL NOT GIVE THE SWORDS MEASUREMENTS OUT IN THE DESCRIPTION PLEASE CONTACT US DIRECT FOR IMAGES AND ALL OTHER QUESTIONS ON THIS AMAZING PIECE. A CENTER PIECE FOR ANY COLLECTION ON EARTH.

Author : movie webster
Comment:
HI the hp laptop is very nice you have choose for your movie screen caps. but you may have looked at the apple macbook or the proseries they are set up for this type of editing and offer so much more in way of software under the hood.. and do not run on the horrible windows vista . but i DO give you cheers in way of the xbox 360 i feel as it is the best home media center made. if you do game online give the new call of duty 4 a try amazing and very fun. i hope sony p3 comes down in price as the system has been a massive blunder for sony that has cost them billions as they banked on the blue ray to sell the console ,as most of sonys profits came from the playstaions.. there was a great article in time magazine about this huge error sony made. bill gates has really taken them out of the console war that they held top spot for the last 10 years that was thought impossible. cheers
Note, at the summary of puttieface auctions at the bottom of this article, that puttieface has sold a few XBOX 360 games on eBay, again consistent with these comments (“the xbox 360… is the best home media center made”).
Here is another reader comment on the OPB, November 20, 2007:
New comment on your post #1086 “Raiders of the Lost Ark “God of Light” Prop Wall Plaque”
Author : movie webster
Comment:
hi again well its funny you should bring this to light mr de bord. my article does not direct this piece but i remeber back 2-3 auctions profiles had a stunt hk from tomb raider the caption said used on screen by angelina jolie. the weapon was very very torn up so i was a bit int still so i called them by tele and asked was this piece used by her and not her double or others? the kind jent said we really have no idea? i said to myself wow they are the biggest in this industry? i was really shocked by this reply ,as you can see why. well the item went on to sell for 8,000 us . i guess big mistakes are made even with profiles. but lets make it safe and fun not just about the bottom lines.
The following is a link to a puttieface eBay auction: ANGELINA JOLIE TOMB RAIDER HK & HOLSTER RARE W/COA!!!
THIS ICONIC PIECE IS FROM THE MEGA HIT FILM LARA CROFT: TOMB RAIDER (2001). THIS GUN AND HOLSTER WAS USED ON SCREEN THROUGHOUT THE FILM BY ANGELINA JOLIE (LARA CROFT) . COMES WITH A LIFETIME COA FROM WWW ENTERTAINMENTMOVIEPROPS.COM WITH 24HR CUSTOMER SUPPORT THEY ARE THE ONLY COMPANY TO OFFER THIS SERVICE!!!! ENJOY!!!
Interestingly, there were no new Reader Comments on the OPB for a few weeks. I published an article this week that is very pertinent to the type of offerings put into the marketplace by puttieface and Entertainment Movie Props – see “Off The Shelf” and “Found” Props & Wardrobe” – a Reader Comment was posted in response on the OPB within 30 minutes, establishing a somewhat defensive perspective on behalf of dealers who offer such pieces:
New comment on your post #1153 “”Off The Shelf” and “Found” Props & Wardrobe”
Author : movie webster
Comment:
hi again well i do agree and disagree all resellers sell more then one of each prop, wardrobe can be up to 5 or more which is very common even for hero props. I have even seen 40 or more of certain items. i think a lifetime coa is a must for any company. also wonder if you could put in a free all forum to discussion for some topics in general for the public readers? as trying to go back on past subjects or bring up a new topics is not possible on this set as yet. one i was wondering if you have seen the terminator 2 rotate weapon on the new profiles in history live ebay auctions as it looks exact to the one on the screen used site. wondering why they are using an outsite source to sell off items? please excuse any spelling errors have a bug i caught on a weekend mountain trek. cheers
“40 or more of certain items?”
Also note the comment in the reply, “a lifetime coa is a must for any company”, and recall the consistent marketing comment in the puttieface eBay listings:
THIS ONCE IN A LIFETIME PIECE COMES WITH A LIFETIME COA !! FROM ENTERTAINMENTMOVIEPROPS.COM
A large number of props and wardrobe offered by puttieface and Entertainment Movie Props are of the “off the shelf” variety. I have posted the titles of the puttieface eBay auctions from the last 30 days at the bottom of this article for reference – lots of “off the shelf” clothing, jewelry, sunglasses, wallets, purses, etc., attributed to use in film and television. There are periodic marketing references to costume and asset tags, but I’ve yet to see a photo of one.
Also of interest are auctions in which an item is sold, and then the exact same item is offered again, using the exact same photo.

Comment:
lets not black ball ebay as a whole we all have found amazing items on ebay but you do have a great point you must keep your eyes open and your mind clear ask questions it is the best way to get these frauds to slip up. as he says they will refund money if you find a date? come on if he got this from a crew member or a good source how would there be a chance of that. but said to say the winner will put it in a glass case and be very happy . cheers
And, as the pattern has followed, comments at the same time, from the same IP address, in Simon’s Guestbook on Die Hard Props.com:
ERIC THE RED: HEY YOU [expletive] FAT HORSE [expletive] YOU [expletive] [expletive]! GET A LIFE YOUR COLLECTION BLOWS!!!!! HERE IS TO YOU [expletive] FACE

In any event, I have reached my saturation point with this nonsense. I find value in Reader Comments from those I do not agree with – it is an opportunity for anyone to react to my news and articles, and I am a firm believer in freedom of expression and the exchange of ideas and perspectives and information.
However, sockpuppeting and a pattern of disingenuous and deceiving comments as well as vulgarities and threatening remarks on this blog is coming to an end today.

Hi Jason this is paul yes i post under the movie webster name on here . i have to say this is a very strange way to get me to say who i am not sure why you had to know when posting very nice comments on here. but first lets get to the truth i have never spam or used vulger on here or on any other site. i had spoke to you months ago and we seemed to hit it off well. as i sent you pictures of my office with the case i used from help from this site. also i must be truthfull and say i had been warned about posting on here if i did not agree with you i would suffer your fury guess that may have been true. i do not use the mpf or have ever nor have sent nasty email to your friend simon. i did explain that we do have some ebayers who sell our items off the site from time to time most sites do as you know. i have never tried to buy a pair of shoes from you from kill bill sorry if you think it was me. i have sold the only authentic sword from the film. as you had emailed me about it in the past with some int remember? please lets if we are going to debate show both sides here as i think you may be going on what this simon fellow is telling you and i will tell you why i know this for a fact . as i have emails to prove everything stated here. also please lets not make this about grammer and things like saying mate and such its very childish. in april of 2007 after a year of trying to get marcia of star wares to part with her complete bruce willis die hard costume i was contacted by linda who works for marcia that she was going to be selling this amazing item. i was told that it was between me and one other party. well i was the lucky one who ended up with this costume that is one of my most prized in my collection as you can see why also has the boxer shorts he has on in the film part 3 that is. to make along story short i found out who the other party was simon aka DIEHARDPROPS.COM he did find out threw our ebay seller we had the item and every day since we have be cramed with spam and porn which did come form his ip .not sure if he knows this ws going on or not. he also contacted many ebay winners of props and say that the items they had won are fake we are fruads etc etc. this was sent to ebay trust and saftey team and again i can prove all of this. this seemed to also pick up speed when simon was outbid on a gold bar signed by bruce willis by puttieface and put on our site. i dont have any hard felling to you nor mr simon. but this type of smear is not what i would expect from a person in your position. as you can see i do like the site as do my team at emp. the precog ball on our site or on ebay was only relisted do to a nonpayers. hope we put this to bed and we can continue to leave nice informative comments on this site. i also would have no problems with sending simon pictures of the outfit for his site it is very nice. if i have not stated all things you had questioned let me know there is alot of it in this post.
Great article Jason.
In response to the comments made by ‘Paul’ above, I will clear up a couple of things and offer my perspective on ‘Entertainment Movie Props’ and ‘Puttieface’
It is interesting how ‘Paul’ mentions above about the Die Hard 3 costume sold by Starwares earlier this year. I was indeed interested in this costume. In fact, I visited Starwares in California back in March 2007 to take a look at the costume up close. I decided at the time, that i would need more time to think about it. A couple of things just wern’t adding up for me. A month later, When i got back in touch with Marcia at Starwares to ask her a couple of questions i had, she informed me that the costume was indeed sold. I thought it was a shame, But some you win some you lose.
I recieved an email from ‘Mario Sarrica’ on April 25th from the email address ‘entertainmentmovieprops@msn.com’ abusing me with an onslaught of expletives and bragging how he had just purchased the costume from Star Wares. I won’t quote his comments directly, because frankly, You won’t want to read them. But this is an edited down line from his email…
‘ANOTHER WIN FOR ME HUH (Expletive) AND THE OUTFIT IS TWICE AS SWEET WHEN I KNOW YOU (Expletive) OUT ON IT!!! LIER SCUMBAG! LOLOLO
I believe 100% that ‘Paul’ and ‘Mario Sarrica’ are in fact the same person. ‘Paul’ claims to be the owner of http://www.Entertainmentmovieprops.com and says that ‘Puttieface’ is just an ebay seller that sells things featured on his website (www.entertainmentmovieprops.com). If that is true, Why have i been recieving emails from Mario Sarrica from an Entertainment Movie Props email address? Just for the record, If you win an item sold by ‘Puttieface’ – the invoice comes from ‘Mario Sarrica’. The IP location for Mario Sarrica is the same location as the contact address listed on http://www.entertainmentmovieprops.com
I would be very interested to see what these ‘Studio COA’s’ and ‘Costumers Set Tag’ look like also. If you take a close look at the feedback for ‘Puttieface’ you will see that some of his buyers have caught on that he is, In my opinion, selling ‘Off the Shelf’ items as original, and that the ‘Studio COA’ and ‘SET TAG’ are in fact not Official at all, but merely printed out by Mario himself in order to boost his sales.
For example…
‘I’m not sold on this or the COA’
‘I am not sold on it’s authenticity and the COA looks fake too’
‘Be very carefull, the item i purchased was fraudulent’
‘I have doubts about authenticity, Looks like its just a reprint’
‘No real proof of authenticity’
‘Friendly seller. Confused, Buffy ring and Rachel ring are exactly the same!’
‘Ring unworn, Tag brand new, I can only doubt this is a genuine item’
I am not going to spend every day on here arguing over this, because to be perfectly honest, i’ve wasted enough time and energy on this person as it is. All i will say is if you’re thinking about purchasing anything from ‘Puttieface’ or ‘www.entertainmentmovieprops.com’ – Please do your homework first. They have a tendency to mix up original, aithentic items, along with the ‘Off the shelf’ questionable items which makes the questionable items seem much more appealing.
Lastly, The clapper board currently listed on http://www.entertainmentmovieprops.com and also currently listed on ebay under the ‘Puttieface’ username, supposedly from ‘Live Free or Die Hard’ is not an original clapper board made for use in the film like the description states. The clappers used in the film were Timecoded clappers, which display an electronic display to make things easier in the editing suite. The clapper for sale by ‘Paul’ is actually a ‘Gift Slate’ made after the film had finished filming to be given out to crew members. I know this, because i have spoken to the cameraman who supplied this slate to ‘Paul’ aka ‘Mario’. When i got in touch with him regarding the listing on ebay by ‘Puttieface’, he was very angry that he was lying in his description. He told me that he sold his clapper boards as ‘Gift Slates’ and stated that they were made for the crew in post production but were never paid for. He sold the clapper to Mario Sarrica for $150. It is listed on http://www.entertainmentmovieprops.com for $1,499 as an ‘Original Clapper board made for the upcoming film Die Hard 4′ -This description was only edited AFTER i called him out on this. The original description stated that the clapper was ‘Used during Filming’. If anybody would like proof of these e-mails (Either the ones from the cameraman, or the abusive ones from Mario Sarrica) I have no problem providing them, Please contact me at simon@diehardprops.com.
Once again, Please take care before considering a purchase from this company. You only have to register yourself at the Movie Prop Forum and read the threads and countless horror stories on there to get an idea of what he and his items are like.

Hi simon i think others will have to look at both these comments to see just how bitter you still are over this. Our site contact email is sales@entertainmentmovieprops.com not the one you have up here. I have never spoken to you before this. The story of your DEALINGs with star wares is much different then i know to be the truth, as you Tried to bully / force star wares to sell you the costume at a much lower price as we both know is the truth here. I would have not put this up but you leave me no choice with your attacks and i think it shows you character sad to say. When you did vistied star wares you also took pictures of the costume and said it was for your personal use.You then added them to your site without permission from star wares or marcia and then was forced to take them down. But enough of this the ebay seller we use is infact a power seller with a 99-pct feedback rating and a memeber of square trade one of ebays highest ranks. I wont try and change your stance on this or our items as you seemed to be taking the grudge on. As anyone can see the items we sell are not off the shelf and many are one of a kind only on my site. The clapper was infact from a cameraman who we all know seems to change his story behind them not sure why. Unless you have dealt with me direct or a ebay vendor i would use that as your guide. As you know we are the only prop site that offers 24/hr Support. I had wondered why our site was the ONLY link not on this great blog but i fear now i may know why. I almost did not respond to this but i hope in doing so that others that have dreams will see how hard it is to achieve them when one person wants to blackball an smear you over the net. But we have come to the top of the this hobbie with help and support from great customers and long time members of this community. I do thank jason for giving me this chance to answer these questions in a public forum . Again to the readers if you do have any questions about our items please contact us direct and not go on one mans personal misguided vendetta.
Allow me to clarify, since it’s obviously beyond reach: my name is G. Justis…same as my username. I’m absolutely more than happy to disclose my FULL identity, unlike certain parties here. You’ll see no alias from this guy. Trust that my comments have as much merit as any other.
The fact is, I’m not Jason or Simon; I’m yet ANOTHER collector that’s had to both deal with your spam, as well as endure the constant barrage of your off-the-shelf items flooding into the collecting world.
There’s certainly no reason to try to paint Jason as some sort of dangerous crusader; all he’s done is point out your fraudulent auctions and unhinged behavior, all of which is completely justified. Perhaps you should rectify your behavior before attempting this bizarre turnabout.
Besides, Marcia and the SW folks should be more concerned about questionable sale items than they should the comments of one collector. Perhaps you should follow that route…?
As we can all see, you’ve reverted to all caps in your comments; I assume this is par for the course. In retrospect, I suggest that you keep responding…the more you type, the more transparent it all becomes.
This has really turned into a circus. This person still did not answer anything with a shred of proof or jason. And has try to put spin on every commenthe makes. These are facts and yes your friend is no crusader you may want to think before you leave comments. This sw thing makes no sense at all sir please dont talk in circles. After what you and jason have done and yes i did find out that you are infact one of the people emailing this women . Anyone who sees this will think alot different about you and jason . We did this for every person and site you have tortured over the past year that almost ended in something horrible. Your comments sir are the ones that have made you and this site transparent.
Paul-Mario-Webster: Jason has outed your shady behavior fair-and-square. His links to your web site and eBay auctions above show that you are not to be trusted and you are acting deceptively, if not illegally.
If your business is destroyed, it is YOUR fault and not Jason’s. He is simply reporting the facts, and the facts speak for themselves.
Jason is helping to keep the prop business honest, and I salute him for that.
I got the 4th season xfile handcuffs and felt that they are not real,Just bad photo copy of COA I like the cops to use them to put on this guy. I hope ebay is on top of this!I’m out like 50 bucks I feel for the big ticket guys.
Reader “robare”, who posted comment #12 above, has not been able to verify his claim to my standards of proof (with a photo or scan of the referenced COA or his eBay username used to buy the piece), so I would not assume this accounting is accurate at this time.

I put The Bride’s Hero Sword from Kill Bill sold by Entertainment Movie Props on a payment plan, and paid $3,000 to the sword, until I started to think the sword was unauthentic.
So, I stopped making payments, and decided to do some research and I came into contact with the poperty master from the film. When I went back to the website to recover photos of the sword for the property master to identify I discovered the website was down.
I started trying to e-mail them and I found that the e-mail was down as well as the phone. I’ve also tried to reach them by way of their Ebay name, and I have ad no luck getting any replies back from them.
I’m trying to get any contact info on them so I can either authenticate the sword or get my money out of it. Thanks, Richard DeLong
Dealing with Mario/Puttieface/EMP/VoteHillary was the most frustrating experience. Once, I won an eBay auction which he wanted more money for and he promptly re-auctioned the item to someone else, sending me a substitute.
He once held items I had paid for hostage until I agreed to leave positive feedback for an item that was clearly not authentic.
This much is clear to me:
He did offer some authentic items. I would follow his purchasing patterns on eBay. But it is also clear that he auctioned off more versions of whatever he bought than he had acquired. Most of the wardrobe tags were written in his own handwriting.
He was foul and abusive with his language and threats, and the only reason his negative post count was relatively low was because he would leave threatening messages and negative feedback to buyers who would ultimately withdraw feedback. This history of abuse could be tracked for 5 years during the periods when he would allow his feedback to be read.
Rather than taking him up on his lifetime guarantee, I opted instead to learn my lesson. Somewhere, there are a half-dozen people who bought clothes at Goodwill who are wearing rare, priceless Hollywood treasures that included original wardrobe tags…donated by yours truly.
