Exclusive Preview – Profiles in History Hollywood Auction 28

As part of my visit and interview with Mr. Maddalena this past week (which will be published in the next week), I was given a tour of the new Profiles in History facilities and allowed to photograph items consigned with the next auction, to be held August 2nd and 3rd.

A Superboy costume and Elvis Presley’s personal Karate Gi donated by Graceland to McCormick Distillery in order to make the Elvis “Karate” liquor decanter.
Original Chewbacca cowl on Stuart Freeborn produced face, teeth, and underskull production pieces. Original cowl used in the original Star Wars Trilogy.
Full Bicentennial Man costume as worn by Robin Williams.
Joanna Cassidy’s signature “Zhora” black leather costume worn in Blade Runner – from Joanna’s personal collection.
Costume from the Spider-Man TV series.
Shield from the film 300.

Original Klingon Disruptor from the original Star Trek TV series that was previously on loan to the Smithsonian by Art Director Matt Jefferies.

Hero guns from Night of the Living Dead used by actor Duanne Jones – borrowed weapons from production designer, George Kosana, who also played the sheriff, is the consignor.
Hero Phantom sword from Phantom of the Opera (2004).
Freddy hat from Nightmare on Elm Street 3 (pictured with Brian Chanes).
Hero Excalibur sword used by Richard Harris in Camelot 1967 – Gifted to the WB head of security when retiring after 40 years. The following is inscribed in the blade: Whoso pulleth out this sword of this stone is righteous king born of all England.
Stunt SPAS-12 Automatic Shotgun used by Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator.
